I've been to countless barbershops and hair salons over the course of my life that I just couldn't stay at, either because of the environment, the price, the commute, or simply because they'd F my S up. It's been exhausting looking at places all over the city but at Esquire I've found exactly everything I've needed. I've been a "cut my own hair at home, hope for the best" person for a loooong time but I haven't put any scissors to my hair since I started coming here. (They no longer call to me like the green goblin mask). Wallace is the best, I always get what I come in for and it's always 10x better than I envisioned it.
I've gone to places where I go in every 2-3 months and they treat me like I'm new every single time. I've only been to Esquire maybe 2-3 times in the past, with I think 8 months in between the last and most recent visits, and they still managed to remember me. It's little things like that that really make the place feel a little warmer.
The prices are very reasonable for the service provided, I've paid more for cuts that I ended up having to fix at home. It really does feel like Wallace reads my mind when I'm there. I wear glasses I have to take off while I'm in the chair, putting them back on and seeing my results feels like opening a present on Christmas.

Wallace is always kind and listens really well to what my vision is. Iโve had a lot of trouble in the past with trying to get barbers to do a traditionally masculine cut on me, but Wallace sees the vision and even seems to figure out ways to help my face look more masculine, jaw squarer etc. just with how the hairline/side burn area is buzzed. As someone who sometimes feels tense and uncomfortable being touched by others, itโs a relief how communicative Wallace is and gentle. I also appreciate not feeling like Iโm forced to socialize or blab, itโs nice to just relax and enjoy watch whateverโs on the tv ๐ fellow queers- book with Wallace!!!

Giving a 5 star review to offset Tony's completely awful review. Why when you only book a haircut, do you assume you're also getting a beard trim? Completely ridiculous. Also pal, from reading your review I assume the person cutting your hair has a issue with standing, and I wasn't even there. I'm willing to bet you tip like trash because you sound like trash. I hope you never find what you're looking for ever.

I had a professional fade done by Milosh, I've had hundreds of fades in my lifetime and this was the best thus far. Milosh is a quiet professional and he knows his craft.
